As Jeff Bridges said in Starman, "I make maps." And as a mapmaker, I apreciate a good map when I see one, especially when it happens to be a map of my favorite vacation spot, Walt Disney World. So, here's my collection of maps from the World, Universal Orlando, the other Orlando theme parks, and the Disneyland resort in California.

Printing:Each map is available as both an Adobe PDF file and a JPG image, scanned at high resolution. Click the text that says "Adobe PDF file" to open a PDF file of the scanned map in a new browser window. The PDF can be printed to any ordinary home printer. Click on the small image of any map to open the JPG image file in a new browser window. The JPG images are higher resolution than the PDF files and will take longer to open. To print the JPG, you must save it to your computer and print it with a photo editing program such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Click the text links for any map to open the Google Maps aerial image or Local Live aerial image in a new browser window. To save the PDF or JPG files to your computer: 1) Right-click on the link to the PDF to save the PDF version, or right-click on the small image to save the JPG version. 2) Select "Save target as..." The save dialog box will open, asking you where you want to save the file.

All-Star Music family suites In spring 2006, Disney remodeled a bunch of rooms in the Calypso and Jazz buildings at All-Star Music, turning them into 192 Family Suites, each sleeping up to 6 people. These 520 square foot Suites are exactly double the size of a standard Value resort room, and include two full bathrooms; a master bedroom with a queen bed; a main room with a double-size sleeper sofa and two twin-size sleeper chair/ottoman beds; and a small kitchenette. There are 27" TVs in both the main room and the bedroom. Rack rates are generally the same as booking two regular rooms, but fewer discounts are available for the Suites than for standard rooms, so booking two standards can often be more cost-effective than the suite. The Suites have been very successful since their initial opening. Rumor has it that Disney may convert rooms at the other Value resorts into Family Suites in the future, although this is highly speculative. One wild (and untrue) rumor had Disney building the entire second half of Pop Century, currently on hold since 2001, as Family Suites, with no standard rooms at all.
